Even though I have 3 quad already, 2 Utilities and a sport, I have been giving thought to adding two more. You know, with family, friends, and other guest wanting to ride when on outings, three is not enough. I want to add one more Utility and another Sport quad. Since my two other brothers and I takes trips around the country, I am wanting a trail quad. Since I live in a mud capital location in Ga. I also want a designated type mud quad. Here are the two that capture my fancy:
1. The Honda 700XX seems to be a good concept trail quad because of IRS and the other benefits of a sport quad (eg. chain drive). Sport quads always have that spot on steering and handling that would do well on fast trails. Since I've ridden the H/M trails several times on Utility and Sport, the sport was the most fun. H/M is the trail standard I use to determine trail applications.How would you rate the 700XX for trails?
2. The Polaris 850XP seems to be a great choise for larger tires and with the mudding ability necessary for some of the mud pits around my neck of the woods. Louisiana is also mud heaven where my bros live. It apparently has the power needed, and was designed more robust for the big tire issue. How would you rate the 850XP for mudding?
These are my eventual goals for 2010 if the economy ever come around.

I would add the the Artic Cat 700 H1 EFI Mud Pro to your list, Comes with 28" inch mud tires, factory snorkles and 14" inches of ground clearance. If you got to have more power then wait for the 2010 951CC Mud Pro.
On the 850xp you would need to snorkle and add mud tires for the deep stuff you guys in the south ride in. The "upgrade" package, sorry don't remember the name, with the large front bumper with lights looks nice. Not a big fan of the new front end on the polaris'. So it hides it and makes it a much nicer looking quad.

I have a member in our hunting club that has that "Big Cat",and has it snorkled.He goes place in the mud we (other members) can't think about.If I was going to get a "mud" machine, I would surely look at the "Cat".The ground clearance is unreal.

I would not really go for the Thundercat due to handling concerns. But I am favorable to the Prowler with the 950cc motor. I do like what I am hearing on the 850XP's ride and handling. The concern I have is the overall weight, but am impressed with the robustness of the frame.

another thing that would drive the choice of the Polaris 850xp is it
having the power to pull an ATV trailer on campouts.
