The US lend lease gave the Soviets time to get their things in order no doubt about that. The Americans played a vital role in WW2, most notably was the whopping the US Navy laid down on the Japanese. As much as the US defeated the Japanese, the Soviets defeated the Germans.
PS the tiger was a heavy German tank that was practically indestructable at the time of the Normandy landing. It could take out a Sherman from 2000 meters with its 88 mm main cannon. Allied troops in the feild normally fled at the sight of one. Rule of thumb was, do not engage a Tiger unless attacking with no less than 5 Shermans from different directions at the same time, and prepare to die. The German Tiger Tank proved to be ineffective in combat, because of their size and weight, the anti-aircraft batteries(with 88's) proved more effiecent than the "Tigers"...Soviets would never have won without the US aid....neither would have England...The Panthers were much more useful,as a raid development armored force.Your in over your head "Over 300"..... I would be proud to be Mexican, but mostly Native American, with my leanage going back to fighting "Andy Jackson" at Horseshoe Bend. Tell me about your Soviet Background! When did you get on the freighter and come over.?

Not to mention the Tiger was extremely complicated (good ole German engineering), broke down with great regularity, and sucked fuel by the ton. But, don't let them get a Sherman in their gun site, or surely it would light up like a roman candle.
The best tank of the war was the T39. Bar none. Simple, cheap to build, great armor, good gun. And best of all, unlike the Sherman, it was diesel powered, so it didn't explode on the first hit. Funny, it used an American designed suspension that was also the best of the war.
The Sherman was a POS. Tankers called it the Ronson lighter, since it lit the first time every time. Tank commanders told the Army brass it was a POS, but they built it anyway.

Calling a illegal immigrant an "undocumented worker" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmicist". Both are criminals!

1st Sherman's did run on gasoline but they did start putting Detroit 2 stroke diesel engines in them that gave them more mileage and more engine torque for climbing steeper grades.

One of the best movies with true equipment being used from that era was the movie Kelly's Heroes. Only thing was Odd ball was playing like a
Sixty's hippie in charge of three Sherman tanks.
My favorite line in the movie was when Hustler told Odd Ball this is your moment of glory kid and you are chickening out, Odd Ball replied(To a New Yorker like you a hero is some kinda weird sandwich not some nut that takes on three Tiger Tanks ).
