With the "rate the reliability" type post below, It has got me thinking. Being a life long motorcyclist for over 30 years and spending 3 decades plus on just about everything out there (including a single speed indian 50 I had when I was 5) I came to question something recently. It seems like atv enthusiast are a bit more loyal to their brand, and a bit more harsh to the competition. For instances, while most dirt bikers I know will poke fun at someones machines, it seems that when the quad community does it, more often than not its a sincere disgust of a particular model or brand.
Any thoughts? ( keep in mind that was partly toungue in cheek)

And secondly, Is it me, or is the offroad community in general turning into asshats? IM lucky to have private property and know many private areas to ride, however trips to hatfield and mccoy and Pinnacle creek have me starting to wonder What the hell is going on. At one time, not long ago, if you encounterd a group of riders, it was a healthy " How ya doing" and sometimes a quick handshake and chat. Now it seems its " Hope I get the hell off the trail before my ass gets hit head on" and you cant breath for 10 minutes afterwards because of the dust. There seems to be more and more " I dont give a crap" riders out there. And its not about being slower than someone, or holding anyone up on the trail, I,m talking about people just turning into aholes when they hit the gas on the damn quad (or bike)..
Anyone else see this?
Makes me wonder about bringing younger riders into some public areas..
Worrysome
Any Thoughts?

Since ya mentioned H & M and Pinnacle Creek I have to ask where you are from? I ride both of those places especially Pinnacle.

As for your post, only thing I know about brand is that Can-Am is the BEST and Honda SUCKS but is still better than Polaris, lol.

i ride both bikes and quads and when i am on a bike i tend to be out front becase a quad does make more dust to counteract the sucking dust problem... does not matter what you ride stagger about 30 sec apart stop at itnersections wait for the next person and keep a 30 sec gap and it works great for beating the dust problem as far as a head on goes that is a real risk i have dealt with alot you have to be on your toes at all times a good way to avoid a head on is ride early in the morning and be done by around 1-2 and loading up you miss the afternoon crowd and kids after school i even try to go on days like monday thursday or a friday when everyone else is at work and on NON-holiday weekends!
