Yes this was a very short ride starting early and ending early. The trail is named Slaughterhouse Gulch its about 40 mins from my house. I got up there at about 7ish and rode until about 10:30 as the trail started filling up with Jeeps and 4x4's as well as threats of some weather moving in and out. Anyways this is a short loop with an out and back section (currently closed) There is open ranching in the area so its not uncommon to see free range bison or long horn cattle and that is usually why the one dead end section is closed. Its a moderately difficult trail, definately not a beginer trail but not extreme neither. There is/are a few water crossings depending on snow pack and rain fall that you have to ride through. The trail head starts at about 9,000 feet and rises to a hight of just under 10,000 feet so its not a large vertical rise but a good "starter" trail for those that want to try rocky high mountain trails. What is nice about this trail is it can be ridden two way so it adds some variety. The entire trail is aproximately 15 miles long.

Below is a screen shot of my "Spots" from my GPS locator. And a link to a map.

At the begining of the trail head, it starts off pretty easy.

Here is at the intersection of the dead end (closed) trail and the loop.

This is what the entire trail typically looks like.

These hill climbs just keep going and going for a few thousand feet until they level off a bit.

I know pics can be deceiving, but I was thinking just the opposite. Needs bigger rocks for a Jeep.

Nice trails though!

Your right inturder, its a 3 on a scale of 5 for jeeps, there is a lot of articulation areas though. There are a lot of long steep sections as well. It is kind of an overused trail is part of the problem. A mild lifted 4x4 is all that is required to make the trail passable. Its pretty easy for a motorcycle, now sport quad riders have a little more challenge because they need to choose their lines well to prevent getting high centered on the swing-arm.

Slaughter House is a fun area to ride. Liked said, nothing to extreme(or even close to it) but it is technical enough to keep you on your toes.

These are some pics from the section that was closed in the other pics.
