Just placed an order for the ole F350. I got a 4in turbo back straight exhaust, S&B intake, Tony Wildman(Total Diesel Performance) 6 position chip with Hi Idle(for cold days), Economy, Daily(powerful Econ), Tow, Street(for those ricer cars), and Smoke (For the douchebags with the windows down and the radio blaring). Also got a 3 guage A Pillar pod with Autometer UltraLite Gauges for boost, EGTs, and trans temp. I excited, cant wait to get it all in.

Sounds real nice , but be aware , Though you will get outrageous amounts of extra horsepower with that chip, you will also blow ur engine , guranteed! I dont want to be a "debby downer" But the engine just isnt built to take such abuse and put out so much power.

Um....we ran a 97 7.3 with a chip in it from 40k miles until now and we got rid of it with 220k mile. And I still see that truck almost everyday...should be approaching 300k on the original engine. 95% of my driving will be in either Tow or Economy mode so I'll be fine.

Nothing could be further from the truth. He has a 7.3 in there, and they are extremely detuned from the factory. Only way he will have reliability issues is if he runs all out on the higher chip settings all the time. Also, by upgrading the air intake system, and the exhaust, he is getting rid of what causes more damage than anything else...heat. There is only one other thing that is a "must do" to make this complete. Replace the turbo compressor wheel. Stock units are not designed for the higher airflow, and are prone to compressor surging/stalling when you add the other mods and raise boost pressures and increase air volume. The Banks wheel is designed to prevent this. If you experience compressor stalling, internal engine temps rise FAST, and this spells trouble. As for longevity, I work mine hard, and have similar mods....245,000 miles and still tight as a drum. Rock on YOURAD, but do the turbo upgrade, as its not that expensive.
