I was operating my machine today at work, when the classic VH song, came on today. Made me think: I'm making more money than ever, but I'm bareley keeping up with expences. No extra time or money for riding or anything else fun. This sucks! Anyone else feel this way? I'm starting to feel like a robot, all work, and no play. I guess I should feel lucky to be working. A lot of people are losing everything they own.

Isn't that the truth! I'm trying to get a job with a state highway patrol (in any of my surrounding states) and its hard, so many people to compete against and the state budgets only let so many new jobs open. But I'll keep trying! I'm working so that is good. But I also make time to ride, its my stress relief! If I didn't have the Raptor, I would go nuts!

September-Febuary is usually very busy for me. Looks like it will be more so this year then last. I havent been riding in a WHILE. I broke the chain tensioner stud and the Z has been sitting in our shop for over a month. When I get off of work I get home and still have stuff to take care of and even on weekends if Im not busy Im usually on the road. One of my riding buddies sold his ride, and the other 2 are both down with blown motors(450rs if you must know). Im hoping to get some free time to make it to the dunes for Halloween....hoping. But alas, business is good, Ive got money in my pocket, and Obama isnt president yet .....so it could be worse.

I ask myself the same questions every day Grizz. I havent been out on the Renegade since June, bought a brand spankin new set of Taylor Made Burners this spring and used them a grand total of ONE time. That one day on the golf course cost me $1500 lol. Been working 48 to 72 hour weeks, the wife is full time as well and yes, i do feel like a robot. On Mondays i wake up and the first thought that comes to mind is 'here we go again'.
It annoys me to no end that my wife and I have a 'tidy' combined income and like yourself dont feel like we're getting anywhere, thats the most frustrating part of it.

Ever since I was in high school, I had dreams of working at an ad agency with a corner office in Manhattan. So, I worked my a$$ off to get it.
In college, I worked a 40 hour a week salary job as a Marketing Manager for a resort, while still going to college full time. I moved out of my parent's house when I was 19 or 20. Graduated college and changed jobs to an ad agency in New Jersey.
Then, got the dream job when I was 23 - - Ad agency, in Manhattan, with my own an office, a window and a view of 7th Ave.... I was the total epitome of Miss Corporate America.
Did it for a year than came back to my agency job in New Jersey and took a pay cut. They wouldn't take me back for what I was making in Manhattan.
Couldn't STAND the thought of getting home from work after dark, every single day. Had no weekends really because I couldn't take care of household stuff during the week....
I cannot tell you the amount of times that I sit and think to myself do I REALLY want to be Corporate America, 9-5, for the rest of my life????
I want to go back, live at home with my parents and be a summer lifeguard in high school all over again - - -- - - Wait.... Nope, don't want that either....
THERE HAS TO BE A BALANCE SOMEWHERE!?!??!? How do you balance having a good job, that pays the bills AND still have freetime?? I haven't really figured it out.... And, with my husband being a Union worker, we never know when the next time he is going to get laid off is.
2008 - PAMX Series, tied for 1st so far... October 12th finishes it off!

You become my dad....make your son work for you and show up to the office about 3-4 times a week for a few hours.

I completely agree with everyone. I am busting my a$$ off at work just to get by. Im working 10-12 hour days , 8-10 on saturdays. I get home from work , sit down and relax , before i know it its time to go to bed. I havent been riding for over a month now , and i have very little to show for my earnings.. it really is depressing when you sit back and realize , you are working your ass off to just get by.
Once again , Thank you G.W. Bush, You're the best!
