thats why you buy an older banshee for cheap and build it up the way you want it or find one that has been built the way you want and get that one..personally i think thats half the fun is building yours the way YOU want it

Yea a Banshee never needs maint. You never have to dick with the Carbs jetting, spark Plugs, just remember there are two of everything. Twice the pain in the arse. Imo. Finially just sold mine almost had to give it away. That thing was the most picky bike, when it ran it ran hard but let her sit around for a month, it was a pull start behind the Rhino. Best of luck.

thanx everyone for their opinion i will be buying a new banshee form the dealer. i dont think a 450 is what i'm looking for i will be riding open fields with the occasional trail and i think the shee has more to offer me considering the circumstances.

My first sport quad was a Banshee. It was a great quad with good power. I had tons of fun on it, but when I had a chance to ride a newer 4-stroke it was over.
I sold the Banshee quick and went and bought a new Raptor 700. The suspension, power, and everything else was better about it. You could creep around trails, or scream across a field.
I am a big fan of 2 strokes, but I think the newer 4-strokes are better from every angle. If I were you I would go with the new technology and get you a 450 or a big bore 4-stroke. Maintenance is a snap! Dont let that scare you.

Not unless your in Canada or your dealer has some leftover models. They quit offering the Shee in the US and I think this is the last year they offer them new in Canada.

A 4 stroke is going to be easier in the trails. The maintenance ain't that much. My experience with 2 strokes are a pain in the dick. I ride a yfz, as long as you keep up with it, it will run forever.

Buy the new Suzuki z400 or the Honda 400ex, great all around bikes and they are darn near bullet proof. Aftermarket has a ton of hop ups for each of these.
You don't need a race bike (any of the 450's) and the banshee is going to get older and older and the aftermarket will eventually dwindle just like it did on the 250r's.
