Anyone here into Amon Amarth, or just heavy melodic metal?
Amon Amarth's newest album Twilight of the Thunder God is an amazing album. The best metal album I have heard in a long time.

This whole song is awesome, but the cello part at 2:55 is perfection, and then how it goes back into the metal at 3:37 is just epic.

Im into heavy music so to speak but I have to admit thats a little too heavy for me. Although I do the galloping guitar licks, reminds me of Slayer.
Im an avid Metallica fan, have been since junior high but I sorta figured their new album would suck. Saint Anger was horrible.
I dont know if its Metallica that has changed or maybe the world has changed without them realizing it. Their music dosent sound anything like Kill em All, Ride the Lighting and ofcourse And Justice for All. The Black album or Load although different than previous albums they still sounded like Metallic. Theses days they sound like some sort of garage band just starting out or something.
They should have checked out after Load in my oppinion.
