When the Democratic convention closed it's doors last week, a contractor hired to participate in the cleanup was shocked at what he found. Thousands upon thousands of U.S. flags stuffed into trash bags ready to be disposed of, as if common trash. The majority were the small "hand Waving" variety, but many were full size display examples. What a disgrace! Those flags represent everything we stand for; and the red represents the blood of veterans, defending what we stand for. What a slap in the face to them. The contractor called Veteran groups, who along with Boy Scouts, and other volunteers, saved the flags. They cleaned and properly boxed them, for distribution for Veteran graves and other proper usages. I'm not saying all Democrats are this disrespectful, but what does it say about the "higher ups", who organized the convention?

I was a flag bearer in my elementry school as well as a safty patrolman. I learned at a very early part of my life what our flag represents and its history an the rules of having to handle it on the raising of it in the morning to taking it down in the evening. A lot of people now days don`t have a clue on how you handle the flag to show respect for it and the people that died for it.
The flags that were discarded into a trash pile ought to be shoved the aZZes of the people that threw them out regardless of stature.
