First time out, this year, salt water fishing tomorrow. My son, my son-in-law,and myself will be trying for striped bass, bluefish, and possible yellowfin tuna, that have been spotted in the area. Last year a fisherman caught a 85lb yellowfin from shore, at the very spot we're going. I'll be happy with one "keeper striper". Wish us luck, I'll post the results later. Peace everybody.

But I bet it was a beautiful night Casper. Sometimes just getting out makes it worthwhile, regardless if you caught anything. Well I'm going nightly night, so I can get up at 5, talk to ya soon.

Grizz,we have some hybrid stripers in our fresh water resevoir. I have caught a few in the past, using shad on a treble hook. The yellow fin tuna is one of the best salt water fish to cook on a grill. We usually have a loin we take to camp and grill the first night before opening day deer season.Good luck!

grizz where are you fishing? hampton? Hi Justin! I hope school is going well. We fished the very end of the Plum Island Reservation, called Sandy Point. It's a good area, but requires a 1 mile walk, to the good fishing areas. I wish I could have brought the Grizzly. But anyway, we had a great time. We all caught schoolie stripers, and my son in law caught a doormat flounder. All in all a good day with the family. Sorry Blaster no pic's, but if you saw me,you might have nightmares and pee you're bed. Maybe someday, when you earn you're filthy few and 1%ER badge.
