HI,
I NEED SOME EXPERT ADVISE. MY NECK IS FUSED TOGETHER WITH A PLATE IN FRONT WITH 6 SCREWS AND I HAD A LOWER BACL OPERATION. I NEED TO CONTINUALLY WEAR A NECK COLLAR. PRESENTLY WE HAVE KAWASAKI 700 PRARIES AND MAINLY USE THEM FOR TRAIL RIDING AND SNOW REMOVAL.
I NEED TO KNOW WHAT ATV IS THE SMOOTHEST, EASIEST RIDING ON THE MARKET TODAY. GETTING OLDER AND JUST CAN'T TAKE ANY POUNDING ANY MORE.

In so far as a stock quad goes, probably a polaris trailblazer. The Kawi Prarie 650 is cushy too. Round-profile knobbie tires will help too.
After market suspension work can make a huge difference though. A soft, cushy suspension sounds like the order of the day.
04 402ex. Moose Works Power-up kit. K&N filter, WB E-Series pipe, ITP Sandstar II tires, Douglas .190 rims, ITP razor front tires, Kill switch, air scoops, and sheepskin seat cover (If I'm gonna be sittin, I want COMFORT BABY!)

A Prairie 650? Your kidding right?
The smoothest ride, in stock form, will probably be the Polaris Sportsman series. But the softest suspension would be aftermarket adjustable shocks where you can set them to how you like.

I drove a prairie 650 at the dealership and thought the suspension was from a 1979 Cadillac El Dorado....we're talking SOFT! A buddy of mine took one over the 12" whoops at 35MPH and said he really didn't feel them. That's where I'm coming from on this.

guiness, i think you are way off on this one. I have a Trailblazer and it is as stiff as a board. I think the Sportman with it's couch like seat would be the best riding machine.

ok guys the best and softest ride would be the out law 500 with independent back tires, if you don't like that quad check out others that have the independent back tires there are lots of them. you can adjust the shocks for a softer ride are firmer. Your choice.

Hmmmmm..... must be because the trailblazers I've ridden are rentals that get ridden and pounded some 100 times more often than regular quads.

If you are comparing to sport quads, then yes, it would be one of the smoothest. But when comparing all ATVs, the utility ATVs are smoother and easier to use.

some of the utility quads do have the independent back tires, but a strait back axle is one of the bumppest rides if you have a bad back.
