I know this is short notice but it is that time of year. It is time for Cruise Nite. For those of you who may be new to the forum where I live we have an event called Cruise Nite. It is a classic car show, swap meet, drags, Motorcycle show, and entertainment all in one event. It is held in Kearney Nebraska July 17 - 20th, 2008. If you live in or near Nebraska it is well worth the trip to Kearney. If you can't attend the whole event I recommend the show and shine.

You would enjoy it. The cars might not be as nice as some of the car shows you go to but these folks just like to share their classic cars with everyone.

No, I wish I did.
Before I forget if anyone wants to check out a possibly bid on a car Friday 7/18/08 at 7:30p Central time they are having a classic car auction and you can bid on line. Cruise Nite 2008 has come and gone. There were no major problems except for the opening night BBQ which was suppose to draw about one hundred cars. There was a heavy rain storm and they only had maybe thirty cars. Friday they had an event at the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument that drew many cars. I unfortunately could not attend that. The show and shine on Saturday had over five hundred cars registered (see pictures below). The Saturday night cruising had few problems. A few accidents, and several arrests for various charges. However nobody got hurt. From what I hear the Sunday drags were pretty good too. I took a couple hundred pictures. Could have taken more but they always pack the cars in like sardines. Enough of my blabbing. Check out some of the photos and see which one is your favorite.
This first one is a car the North Platte, Ne. Central Community College Class remodeled and will auction off. It is a 1954 Chevrolet Sedan.

I am not finished yet. Here are more photos....
This vehicle was pretty cool just because of the paint job. Look at it closely. The first side shot is the drivers side. The second is of course the passenger side.
