CC's aren't every thing. I know more than a few 450's that will eat 700's (not all 700's) all day long. That fact is "dude" with the 525 got beat then wanted more and got beat again. IMO If someone twice your size beat you up last week and you come back to fight him again this week you can't complain when he does it again.... Not sure that even made any since but oh well.. good job

HAHAHA! This topic always gets some guys going (wrczx3 and smokinguns) this time! Do you two own Outlaw 525's or have riden one, cause I have riden one, the one I beat. And yes they are nice machines and fast. But your not getting the point, THE GUY TALKS SH@# THAT HIS STOCK MACHINE WILL STILL BEAT A MOD RAPTOR. So when I beat him again and again I talk sh@#!

Every motor makes power different, thats why a 450 will beat a 700, or even a 525. I know stock for stock its close.

Hey yourad, I was told by ALBA to run at least 110 octane because I'm running 12:5-1 compression. To help stop the pinging. I run 113 octane cause its all I can get in my area thats close to me, so thats why I run 113 octane. Oh they did say I could run 50/50 of 93 and 110, but since I can get straight race fuel I just run that. I would run 50/50 in a pinch.

I also agree, why be stock when YOU CAN MOD THE HELL OUT OF IT!

If they said you could run a mixture of 93 pump gas and 110 I would highly suggest running that. The reason is that pump gas will have deposit control additives and race fuel will not. Also too high of an octane such as the 113 octane you are running will result in unburnt fuel which will directly lead to deposits in your engine/valves/ports. With the addition of pump gas you will be running some deposit control additives, which will slow down the "gunking" up of you valve train/combustion chamber compared to pure race fuel.

You should run 108 with 12.5:1 compression. It is a rookie mistake I am sure we all have made (I know I have for sure till I did a dyno test) but running to high of octane WILL slow you down.... That being said it is better to have to much than not enough. Switch to alky and you won't have to worry about it. From my experience I wouldn't run 113 put 110 in it and I bet you will gain some length on that 525.

I mean zero disrespect when I say "rookie". It is just a saying unless someone tells you or you do some testing that is something you just have to learn along the way as far as I know you have been riding/racing twice as long as me or know twice as much. Next time you decide to throw some money at your quad let me know I would have a few recs on where to go to get the most bang for you buck.

Yeah, I had to go up to a 15t sprocket too, cause first through third gears were to tight. Now it pulls nice with 20" tires. I love the mods it seems like it won't quite pulling on top, it just wants to rip!

Now as for that extra 734 cylinder you might have laying around in september let me know if you want to sell it. This fall I will be interested!

i'll let you know when that time comes around on what i decide to do with it brother. that's good to hear you're running a 15t sprocket as well, sounds like your motor is tuned well.

as far as the fuel debate, if your motor is tuned for the fuel you currently run, keep running it. i wouldn't run the 93/110 mixture that you were suggested you could run. i wouldn't run anything less than 108 as previously stated in another post. also previously stated you may have a slight power loss but it's very minimal if any. the lubricating properties of the higher octane fuel are slightly better however, but very minimal as well.

keep rippin' on it.

This fuel debate is a bit confusion sometimes. I do regular maintaince on my quad and as of right now everything is as its supposed to be. The power is strong and I know to much octane is an overkill but I don't think its enough to worry about. I just got the new Quad mag and they done a test in it about high octane and what you gain. And it was not alot difference at all maybe a 1 hp gain if your lucky. I don't like all the******they put in pump gas, I'll stick with what ALBA says for now since they had the most insight with my motor. Don't get me wrong, I like hearing all the different opinions from all of you. I take it all in, the more I know the better.

No disrespect tooking! Like I said before, I take all this in. I've been racing and riding for a long time, and always learn something new!
