And failed one more time! This time he brought some mods-FMF pipe, new air filter and jetting. It was a little better this time, but just couldn't do it.

Should a mildly modded 510cc machine beat a highly modded 686cc machine? Why would you be so proud of that win?

Good job you should be proud of every win. Those 700's have a lot of aftermarket parts for them now and are really putting down some good numbers. Keep it up!!! Have you done any head work?

I usually don't talk a lot about beating someone, but this guys deserves everything I dish out!

I sent the head out to ALBA ACTION SPORTS and they did the port and polish to the head. They helped a lot with what parts to use to go with the head. Motor parts include - Alba port and polish, Alba programmer, K&N filter, Hotcams Stage 2 cam, JE 12:5-1 compression piston, Yoshurmira RS-7 full comp exhaust, Hinson clutch basket, Hinson pressure plate, Barnnet dirtdiggers clutch kit, New Yamaha crank, Titaminum valves, New roller rockers, Cam chain, New heavier valve springs, and running 113 Klotz race fuel. Oh and new clylinder with stock bore.

sounds good brother. my desert racer has similar work done: ported head, 105.5 nikasil bore (734), stage II hotcam, dyna programmable ignition, high compression piston, full exhaust, k&n, fuel controller, etc..

pulls a 15t sprocket with 22" rear tires extremely hard, even the one time i took it to the sand. i'm probably gonna change the top end for a 108mm cheetah (760 w/ stock stroke) eventually. maybe in september. undecided on what to do with the 734 cylinder yet, keep it as extra or sell.

Yeah, I had to go up to a 15t sprocket too, cause first through third gears were to tight. Now it pulls nice with 20" tires. I love the mods it seems like it won't quite pulling on top, it just wants to rip!

Now as for that extra 734 cylinder you might have laying around in september let me know if you want to sell it. This fall I will be interested!

the guy with the 700 will cry when his freind has equal mods and is still a 525 kick him around

Stock is lame....who runs stock anyway?

Hotrod...nice list of mods...doesnt if have arms and shocks also? Also wondering...why such a high octane on that compression? If Im not mistaken you can run 93 or a race gas/pump gas mix at that compression with the Z and you dont need that high an octane until getting around 13:1 area. Is it different with the Raptor because they come with lower compression? (arent they like 9:1 stock?)
