If you are buying a used ATV you should have a good mechanic check it out and if it's been in the mud much stay away from it.

I have vowed to never buy a used ATV due to not knowing the abuse the machine has taken. This is one item that is most likely to be abused. I might consider if it was an older gentleman who had bought it for his wife and she never rode more than a couple of hundred miles. Garage kept with all maintenance records....
