I just saw on the O'Rielly show that a teacher in Oregon,denide the Pledge to the flag,because it may cause the muslim students some discomfort.What in the hell is going on in Oregon,and this country?Values are no longer meaningful it seems..disgrace to our soldiers,and Americans .Its already happening and Barama is not elected !

Stumper,I think if my tax dollar goes toward education,I have a voice in the spending of the money.If those students want to show their opinions of our country,they should be able too, in a private school of their choice,paid for by their parents,who elect to live under the protection of these United States.The Flag and alligence pledge,or symbols of patriotism,and these folks are not patriots and should not benifit from our goverment.The new order will prevail,because we have no one to take up the cause.I am glad that I lived in Americas greatest moments,you people will inherit the demise of the Greatest Nation that ever was......was...I was proud of my nation,and now it will fall within....no enemy could ever take us on,but the erosian will prevail.......This country,with all its freedoms will be lost ...because of its freedoms..

I AM IN NO WAY , SHAPE , OR FORM STICKING UP FOR THESE KIDS. THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED!
Ok , Now say you had to say some type of pledge , but instead of under god , you say , under allah , or buddah .... would you still feel comfortable saying it if you where a christian?

The Pledge of Allegiance doesn't say "one nation under a Christain God". It just uses the word "God". Other religions including Islam believe in God too so I don't know what the big deal is. In my daughters school they said the Pledge at a school assembly and they used "God" in the pledge. I went up to the Principal after the ceremony and thanked him for leaving the Pledge the way it was intended to be said.

If people don't know why we have a pledge,why even bother...let the children give their country away...todays parents are the reason the kids have no respect for their country.
