On Mothers day I was out riding having fun. Stopped to eat dinner went to go back out and nothing. No instrument panel. Battery is at 12.8 volts. Can't find anything in the manual on a fuse. Please let me know if I am missing something simple. I do have a recall on the machine for the ignition ecm swap, but in the recall it said to drive as normal just unhook the negative off the battery.

wooly,
Be sure to check the position of the "kill switch" and make sure the machine is in "Neutral" or "Park" (If the machine has one or both). Additionally, You could even try holding the left brake lever in (if so equipped) while trying to start it.
That "ignition recall and ecm swap" could very well be the cause of the problem. If all else fails look for the fuse block and start cleaning contacts on terminal after checking the fuses. A manual, with wiring diagram, would also be helpful.
Good Luck,
Sid

It's obvious you have a fault in you're starting circuit. I believe Polaris uses circuit breakers, that automatically reset. That particular breaker could be bad. Like Magnum said get a tech manual for you machine. They cost about $50, but usually pay for themselves right away. Most have an excellent electrical breakdown, with schematics. Good luck, maybe some of the Polaris people on here, can help you further.

Sounds like the same road i went down not too long ago. Only diff. is I have a predator.

Dont bother checking your circuit breakers , it is pointless and its not them. My problem ended up being my voltage regulator (under battery) It went sour on me after sitting in my garage for 2 weeks and no one riding it. There is no real way to test them either , so you can possibly bypass it (which i did) JUST to see if you have power , or you can try to get readings out of it to see if energy is flowing through or not.

Thanks guys for the advice. I brought it in for the recall (ecm) and that fixed it' So glad I am riding again. I looked at the new wheelers with the metallic finish and after market wheels. Dang those are sharp.

Do check your circuit breakers you will find the breaker thats in that circuit under your front rack & plastic I have seen this prblem before. The breakers are sealed in a rubber rap you will have to cut that open to acsess the breaker they do go bad.

Good advice, but he already got it fixed as part of a recall that was due on the machine.
