just a comment on this oil thing. a major factor in the price of oil is the weakened dollar. OPEC trades oil on the dollar and as the dollar weakens the price of oil increases.
now if colonel sanders was president and the price of chicken went up, and chicken farmers reported record profits each quarter, wouldn't you think something was up.
i think the biggest concern right now is the price of food right now. you can limit excessive energy use, but everyone's gotta eat.

a lot of good thoughts on here, I didn't realize any of you had brains. I stand corrected.
In line with the comment about the weakened dollar, my brother just got back from Germany for 10days, gas is $10 US dollars a gallon!! (they use Liters but that's what it converted to) One EURO is worth $0.65 - doesn't make the autobann look so good now does it.

pbell: There are folks on here with brains,some just don't put them to use.Most of the time solutions are looking you in the face.The war was about money,and paybacks for the "Cheney" adms.Bush thinks he is still in Crawford!And I see no help in the future,we pander to a lesser people..(mob rule)..same thing 2000 yrs ago.....this is the country that the minority rules....

Just some facts, 1. Obama wrote a book about himself so saying that he hasn't said anything about himself is ridiculous. 2. He was baptised and raised a Christian. 3. He supports Israel and has indicated as recently as yesterday that he would increase their aid.

pwillie, I can find plenty of stories like that on many subjects. Such as "Alien Abductions", "Raising the Titanic and Why They Won't", "Hitler Alive and Well in Iceland", "Atlantis Found", or "Dick Cheney Has a Soul".
