Thanks for the contact info. However, in doing some reading I've discovered that ... as a third party to the whole thing, I should not make contact with that guy.

I was twice ripped-off over the net. In both instances I had to raise cain to get ANY response. E-Mail the local police of all the municipalities he may live in. E-Mail the Counties, E-Mail the State police, and E-Mail the Feds. Post to as many site as humanly possible. Let the cops know that they stand to gain respect from the general public by busting a thief who used the net to rope people in. Find ways to make them think they have great gains in taking action here. Don't down play it. Be truthful in making yourself out to be the victim. Be careful in your choice of words.. that is... ASK YOURSELF, "How can this sentence possibly be mis-construed?" If you do that, you (A) reduce the possibility of a misunderstanding, and (B) reduce the possibility that he can come back DELIBERATELY mis-construing your words to attack you. Here are a bunch of sites that should help. Go for it. I managed to get results when I was ripped off...but it took a month of DAILY posting, e-mailing, and effort.

Here are some sites that may prove useful. Remember...e-mail the local authorities of where he may live.

Even though people who perpetrate these crimes are scum, it sometimes takes a fair amount of intelligence, to pull them off. With that in mind, if you accuse Willie of this crime, you are defiantly accusing an innocent man.

high octane junkie,
How did you pay for these shocks? If it was with a credit card, you can dispute the charge on the statement, when received. You can also contact the credit card company and inform them you are doing that. Additionally, if paid with Pay-Pal, through e-bay, they will assist you. E-bay owns Pay-Pal and encourages purchasers to use it. A black mark on their reputation is not good for business. If you paid with a personal check, just put a stop on the check through the bank. The service charge they assess against your account is small in comparison with the possible loss.
I'm sure these options have been already recommended but I thought I would mention them again.
Good Luck
Sid
