Just purchased my first 4 wheeler. No experience at all. 65 yrs. old. Never have rode one in my life. Live on farm and irrigate small grain. I ordered a new 2008 Grizzly 450 Auto 4x4. What are the pros and cons of this bike and will I be satisfied? Thanks

Actually that was a great choice! The Grizzly 450 has plenty of power, smooth ride, and can tow over 1000lbs. It has true 4x4 when in differential lock mode, and has Independant rear suspension that gives it its good ride and good ground clearance.
Theres really no cons to the 450 because its been out for quite a while and all the bugs have been worked out of it.
Good luck!

Welcome to the site.
That is a very nice choice there, in my opinion, the kingquad 450 and the grizzly 450 are the best all around mis-size utility ATVs.

Devilcat1,
Congratulations on the new machine. Enjoy!! If, as you have explained, have no experience with these machines, I would recommend that you "hook-up" with someone who will teach you some entry level riding skills. Possible through the dealer or through the ATV Safety Institute. (Note: You will receive a card soon after the machine is delivered.) The class is free and it is well worth the time invested. Additionally, a medium priced helmet and some decent boots. Don't get carried away with all the high cost riding outfits. By-the-way you think you will just use this machine on the farm. Ha,ha. You have no idea how much fun these machines are. As soon as you learn the basic techniques of riding you WILL want to explore. I have been smitten enough to where I really want a sport quad. My Grizzly 660 is great but I'm not sure it's fast enough. Ha,ha.
Best of luck,
Sid

Welcome to the forum, and congrats. You picked a nice, solid, capable ride. Please keep us updated on your progress, and even write a review of the machine once you have some seat time on it. Hard to go wrong with the choice you made. Good luck!
