So , I went to our track yesterday , and realized my valves are making some noise. I know I should get them fixed , but my pocket book is saying , NO! So , what's the worse thing that could happen if I dont get them fixed ASAP?

Well depends on the type of cam/valve arrangement you have. If they are shim under/over bucket design you can potentially ruin the cam or damage the lifters(if applicable) If its a traditional rocker arm arrangement you will potentially ruin the valve tip. Not to mention miss-adjusted valves rob power and contribute to hard starting. Do your pocket book a favor and either buy a manual and learn to adjust them yourself or take it in. Because the alternative is much more expensive.

camofox,
If by some wild stretch of the imagination could the noise be attributed to a loose exhaust shield. The manufacturer of your quad might just get their parts from the same place Yamaha does.
Just a thought!

That would be nice , but , i dont think so. All though predators do have a problem with vibrating parts loose , it isnt that. It is clearly coming from the head. I will be tearing it down this weekend to get them fixed before i build my track.
