I purchased the Trail Tech MR16 HID lights to replace the stock headlights. I was a little disapointed when I got them mounted... they are too close to the front fender & the beam is comprimised. Anyone else have this problem?

I am thinking of fabricating a custom bracket that would eliminate the stock ft. fender bracket, and relocate the HID lights out further. Any past attempts or ideas?

Why not cut and grind the fender in the area that would not abstruct the beam projection.

BajaBerg7,
The picture doesn't show the mounting clearly. I think however, you are on the right track. If the wiring is long enough, a simple offset bracket would do the job easily. If you are not handy that way, ask the manufacturer if they have any such thing available that isn't going to "break the bank". Possibly a friend can make some suggestions and even provide some assistance.
