Maybe, but we have a whole lot more snow on the ground than was in that video.
The most limiting factor isn't even the lack of a locker on those things, but rather the solid rear axle, thus less ground clearance.
I have a buddy who went riding with me in an easy 15-16 inches of snow last week on his Rancher 350. Despite having stock tires, he did okay.
25" ITP Mudlite XTRs
Uni Air Filter
93 Octane Irving Gas
Dielectric grease
Fresh air in tires monthly
4.6 psi in tires instead of reccommended 4.5
Totalled Red King to get prettier Yellow King
Amsoil synthetics
Anodized aluminum valve stem caps

Sad post, anything with stock tires, limited clearance, and a solid real axle will not make it through much snow. Yesterday at our annual ride we took 36 riders on a 45 mile ride through snow approaching 3 ft deep. We spend some time at three locations of snow deeper than 2ft, uphill for over 30 ft. assisting the stuck riders. It really showed what tire setup, clearance, and a locking 4wd does. Yes, the few hondas that were with us failed miserably. I own a honda recon for my son(which did not acccompany us) but I ride a renegade. I have had a polaris 700, grizzly 660, and brute force 750. The renegade destroys them all.

I have to call bull******on that one. Unless it is very fine power that will blow away from the quad when you go through it, 2 ft or 3 ft will hang up any machine. In fact, virgin snow that's above 12 to 15 inch will sink most any machine. When in snow, the SRA limits you, but not by much. Usually in snow the machine will bottom out and that where it stays. The axal will cut through most any snow surfaces and slow the machine slightly, However, when the machine bottoms out that's when it's done.
Check out this King Quad. Is a very capable machine, but not in 12 inches of snow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZNterjScpk&feature=related

Yup 2-3 feet is a bit much for any machine, unless you have a snowblower attachment on the front of it. Its called hi-centering toolboy, and I don't care if you have 500HP on tap, its not gonna help. Ground clearance is a big factor, and tires are the rest.
As for the King Quad video, you can tell thats some heavy matted down snow to just hi-center that machine like that.
