I was going with hls until i heard of some of there problems. I was told by a whole forum to just go with motowoz of fox. Hmf has nothing to do with hls anymore also, it is completly gt thunder

you wont get any performance gains without a cam due to the power curve on the trx's. It never will reach the added 1000rpms. Mine had it removed with the hrc kit, added rpms are nice

honda 450r(kicker), handling is even to my old 05 yfz, suspension is more forgiving, and ergoes are better. I like the fact that you get so much more performance for $350 bucks when u buy the hrc kit.

For 450r's it goes dasa, rossier, sparks, venom....I know dasa makes best hp on all the 450's it seems..Yoshi blows, you just pay for the name without all the performance you would expect to back them. Ive have heard nothing bad about lrd or dasa, but personally if im gonna send the money on any Full system, it would be the dasa, best sound, and power, and it has the graphs to prove it..That will be my next purchase in temrs of performance

They are all reliable. But i dont get why suzuki cant make a tranny that works for the ltr450, and why can-am can fix the boiling gas problem on there ds450? Other than that they all perform alsome.

I agree with bbqmaster, but everyone ride's in different conditions. I personally ride alot of wide open 5th gear trails, and pavment, so top end is necessary.

97 kx125 or 98 yz125
Im looking at buying my first dirtbike, and ive found good deals on the 97 kx125 and 98yz125. Ive always wanted a dirtbike so i figured what the hell ill buy one. I know nothing about them so it would help me out big time if any one else does. Which is faster, lighter, more reliable, and better handling. Im going to be usuing it on tighter trails, that go from sand to rocks. Any feedback would help me out.

U cant do the green wire mod(1000 extra rpms unless you have a cam). My 07 450er leftover did 77mph stock(bouncing off rev limiter pretty easy). Now i have hrc kit which has cam, exhaust, cdi, etc, and it will do 84 on flat land, 85 with slight down hill where i can get to the rev limiter. Hrc kit is without a doubt the best $350 u can spend on this atv. That with a slip on hmf to go with stock hrc header, and you have your self a powerful pipe.
Just for comparision sake my 05 yfz450 got 78, and my buddys ltr with cherry bomb, baffle removed, geared 15tooth, and lid removed gets 83. The extra 1000rpms really helps the 450R out.

Sorry to here this happen to you, i would be pretty pissed of if it was me, and probley end up getting some revenge. My question is does insurance cover damages that happen to it, considering it was stolen? Im not sure what coverages you have, ik on mine i have theft, collision, etc..

Depending on how good you take care of your motor, it will easily last you 5 years, or that what they seem to last from forums i check out. Ktm is a nice quad, and for 5 grand it is a hard deal to pass up. I just puchased a 07 leftover 450er for xc racing. It was between that and ktm, i passed up on the ktm because it seems alot of people end up sending there shocks out to be revalved, etc. Which to me was a waste of my money when i could do the same to the 450er, get the hrc kit, flexx bars, and more and still be less than the ktm. But for 5 grand it is a toss up, just make sure if you do buy it you check out ktmatvhq.com, its a good site, alot of information on the recalls, and stuff. Also make sure you put heat tape on the rear brake line, they are said to faid because of the exhaust running to close. Good luck, post some pics if you get it.

What are your full modifications on your 450r? Im assuming you race xc or ride in xc terrain? Gt thunder rebuilds with the pistons are a hard shock to beat for the price, did you get the pistons put in or just rebuild and revalve? For the $1500 difference between selling and buying the ktm you could get pistons installed, and hrc kit, and exhaust, along along with linkage more than likely. Have you done the green wire mod?

I traded in the yfz450, and im waiting for my hrc kit to be installed on my brandy new 07 trx450r(white)
Mods i have bought for it right now are:
Alba nerfs:Back order
Blingstar iron cross
Hrc Kit
Power X handguards
Tusk gas vent
Im not very skilled with computers, but i can send pics to someone's e-mail once i get the atv, and have them post them
