I've been working at a shop for about 2 months now and to be truthful, getting parts for those is near to impossible. Those bikes are not worth the trouble in my eyes.

Basically the ATV version of a pit bike. Drop a 150cc YX engine in there and have even more fun.
The shop I work at used to be a dealer for those until they went out of business.

ive had a few, powermadd star series have a stupid mounting system and they dont stay in place, im running polisports right now and i love them

To measure the bore you need to take the head of and use an inside micrometer to measure the bore. To get an accurate measurment of the stroke would be to take the crank out and measure from the center line to the center line of the big end rod bearing, but most BBK's just do over bores so the stroke is probably stock making it an even more over square engine (stock is 85mm x 70mm), which sacrifices some torque but will still rev (sort of) quickly rather than a stroked engine.

Yeah I figured that was about the only way to find out. I didn't know if there was a way to take the spark plug out and hook up some kind of air or liquid and fill it up and with some math find out what it was. Oh well not that big of a deal to me right now. Just bought an a-arm for it to day off ebay for $35.00 to fix the ball joint. Next up is to fix the bent steering stem ( I tried to run it over with the truck but it didn't even budge. (2002 GMC K1500) And then have someone weld the frame back. I don't have a mig welder or I would do it myself.
I'm not 100% on this so don't quote me but I think you can buy something called a macrometer..or micrometer? You put it in the place of your spark plug and it measures stroke and bore.

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the 04 YFZ450 a 440cc with the WR450 camshafts? Thus the lower performance than the equivalant YZ or WR engines?
04/05 was a 439 but the stock cams are the best you can have for a good overall power range. The only reason to swap cams in a yfz is for drag racing.
