RE: Obama... nobel peace prize?

I firmly believe the Progressives in this country are trying to destroy the US Dollar. They want us to be on a world currency, with a world economic policy, and with US wealth being distributed around the world to poorer countries. This is called Marxism, on a global scale.
If you recall, Hlllary Clinton, Rom Emanuel, and other Progressives have repeatedly said "Never let a good crisis go to waste". What does that mean? Simply, when a crisis occurs, use that crisis to take more control, more rights away from the people, and give yourselves more power. Destroying the dollar would create a crisis in this country like none we have ever seen. It would make the Great Depression look like child's play. And it would give the people currently in power in Washington the perfect excuse to take total control of our lives, the financial institutions, and businesses. And believe me, given the chance, they indeed will. And the problem is, the majority of people in this country will be begging them to do so. The US Constitution will be declared invalid, and we all will be at their mercy. Which they will have none.
If this Federal debt continues to rise, and the Feds continue to print new money to pay for things, like the interest on our current debt (currently at 1/2 billion dollars per day), all countries and entities around the world will lose faith in the dollar, and it will collapse in value, and the Progressives will have the crisis they so desire. It is already happening, as China and other countries are unloading their dollars as fast as they can before the collapse occurs. The oil exporting countries are negotiating a new currency to trade oil with. And the US dollar is on it's last legs as the world's standard business currency.
We are in for a world of hurt, America.

jhess...typical american, cant even spell. Its "hay". And you dont really "mow" it. Just to let ya know...
You are quite right! Typical American who can't spell. And guess who's fault that is? The Liberal @ssholes that run our schools. Yes, they are the same ones who said you can't correct a child's spelling or grammar because it make them FEEL bad, and the same @ssholes that demand everyone on a ball team gets a trophy, whether they win or not, since we don't want them to FEEL bad.
Of course, it also makes for people who do not strive for perfection and success, as well. Why try harder when you can get the grade or the trophy by being a slacker?

RE: Obama... nobel peace prize?

The erosion of our Constitutional rights, and the Constitutional checks and balances, is the reason groups like the 9-12 Project were formed. There are several of them now. And there are other groups dedicated to getting all the current politicians out of office. Together we can stop the Marxists campaign to "fundamentally change the United States".
One thing is for sure: We are definitely being sold down the river by our current government, of both parties.

RE: Obama... nobel peace prize?

There are more of us left than we think. Even some of those who voted for Obuma
have now seen the light. Look at the Tea Parties and the 9-12 Project. Most of middle class America are conservative in their daily lives, and do not believe Obuma has the best interest of the American people in his heart. A Pew poll recently showed 43% of us deem ourselves as Conservative, while only 22% deemed themselves as Liberal. If we make our voices heard, and LOUDLY, they will have no choice but to do things our way, or they can hit the highway.
Like the lady at a town meeting said to Arlin Specter, "You have awakened a sleeping giant". The giant lives.

Amazing, isn't it? The guy does pretty much nothing to further the cause of world peace in his first 8 months and they give him the Peace Prize. Seems like a bit of a setup to me.

whats wrong with being Canadian? we're every bit as tough and manly as you americans, or are you still using a confederate flag as a blanky?
Everyone knows Canuks are ball-less wonders. They are wimps, living in a wimp country, with wimps for leaders. Just like the USA has become since our latest White House occupant took residence.
And racing doesn't take balls. Anyone can race, WINNING takes the balls.

+30 is just jealous, you know, he can't hold 3" at 100 yards. However, with HR45 in the works, we may be as bad off as +30 in the firearms department.
I still can't find any small rifle primers. I heard of a place that got a shipment, called, but they were sold out in 3 hours. Grrrrrrrrrrr.........

Must be nice to have that kind of green to toss around. I do not, and never have. That is why I shoot only production guns in common calibers. I think my 223s, 6mm, and 7mm costs me in the range of 22 and 30-34 cents per shot. Just think, I have shot all summer for less than what one box costs you for those high dollar calibers. ROFL.

RE: How's this for some shooting?

I am the opposite. I shoot paper more than anything else. I suspect I have popped 300 rounds at paper this summer, but also have taken 138 ground hogs, one fox, and three coyotes this year. Worked up three loads that will print at 1/2-9/16" for five shots this summer. Also have one load that I shot 10 into 5/8", but it will not repeat every time. Which I suspect is me, not the load or rifle. Reloading and group size is shooting for me. I am proud to say I only missed one groundhog all year.

RE: How's this for some shooting?

I been handloading for 35 years, and shot in benchrest competition for 15 years. I know how to get good groups. The group size is a function of my eyes and age, not the load or rifle. H@ll, that rifle is older than some of you guys. LOL. I bought it in 1983.
I can barely focus the bulls these days. At 57, that is a D@MN good group. No, changing the seating or powder will open up that group. It is optimized. Believe me, I have been trying to get that bullet to group all summer. Hornady 50SX, H4895, CCI400, R-P cases.
bbqmaster, in benchrest shooting, powder changes for optimum accuracy are done in 0.10 grain increments, not 1/2 grain.
The rifle, clamped into a gun vise, will shoot 1/4" groups all day long with properly prepped cases. My personal record was 10 in 0.310". And it won the match that day. But that was many moons ago. ;)
Camo, the rifle is zeroed for another load, and for 250 yards, not 100.
#6 as you call it was from another load on a another day.
jhess, I want to see some 1/2" 200 yards groups from a Weatherby 300. You would need match grade cases for that. I do not believe Lapua makes cases for the Weatherby 300.

Went out this AM to do some target shooting for new load development in my 223 varmit rifle. This was the end result.

A perfect clover leaf of 5 shots in 15/32nds of an inch.
I'm a happy shooter. LOL

RE: Gun Confiscation is Beginning. SB-2099/HR45.

September 15, 2009
Dear Concerned American,
The great pay-back has begun, and it's going to be ugly.
The gun grabbers in Congress are paying back the anti-gun extremists who put them and Barack Obama in office.
Hi, this is Congressman Paul Broun from Georgia. I wish I had better news, but you and I are facing an assault on our gun rights like we've never seen before.
You see, H.R. 45 is Barack Obama's gun control package, and it includes the most vile anti-gun measures he's supported over the years.
It's only the first step...
...but it's a HUGE step.
H.R. 45 establishes a NATIONAL gun registry database of every gun and its owner -- for the whole county! Your private information and every gun you own would be in the system.
But that's only if you succeed in buying a gun in the first place!
And since H.R. 45 dramatically increases requirements for firearms purchases far beyond those ever proposed, you just might find yourself incapable of buying a firearm once this bill takes effect.
And it gets worse too.
The National Association for Gun Rights has a survey ready for you to complete, but I want you to understand just how dangerous this bill is before I give you the link. Please bear with me for a moment.
You see, H.R. 45 would establish a national gun registry database which would:
* Increase requirements for firearms purchases, far beyond those ever proposed.
* Create a national firearms registry overseen by the Federal Government.
* Invoke Draconian penalties for bookkeeping errors related to the Federal Firearms Database.
It gets worse though.
Sarah Brady and her allies in Congress want to force you to take a written exam to prove that you are "fit" to exercise your Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.
I'm outraged by this, and I know you are too.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you that gun registration has historically laid the groundwork for total firearm confiscation. Citizen disarmament is the watchword of tyrants everywhere.
In fact, the most brutal dictators of the last century were famous for their gun registration and confiscation schemes.
But H.R. 45, Obama's National Gun Registry and Citizen Disarmament Act, is more than just a forced registration of all firearms in America.
The bill also makes it increasingly difficult to buy a gun in the first place.
Taken right out of Sarah Brady's Christmas wish list, H.R. 45 includes a laundry list of new restrictions on firearms purchases.
In addition to the outrageous national gun registration requirement, H.R. 45 also requires you to:
* Pass a written examination to purchase a firearm.
* Release your medical records -- including confidential mental health records -- to the government to get your "fitness" to own a firearm approved.
* Observe a two-day waiting period before all firearms purchases.
* Pay a gun tax of $25 or more on all firearm purchases.
Moreover, H.R. 45 bans all private firearms sales and maximizes penalties for minor clerical errors in dealing with the national gun registry.
The list goes on and on. It's enough to turn your stomach.
I know I don't have to tell you, but these restrictions make a mockery of the Constitution. "The Right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" might as well say: "You have no rights."
If a two-day waiting period, a written exam and a gun tax aren't infringing our rights, I don't know what is!
Even the Supreme Court's recent Heller decision guaranteeing an individual's right to own a firearm doesn't hamper Barack Obama's agenda one bit.
In fact, it emboldens gun grabbers to pass legislation taxing ammunition, increasing registration requirements, and drastically limiting when, how and where you can use your firearm.
That's why I've decided to stand with the National Association for Gun Rights fight back against this radical scheme. They're fully committed to stopping the efforts of the gun grabbers, but they need the help of grassroots gun owners like you.
With liberals calling the shots in Washington, all supporters of the Second Amendment must join together, draw a line in the sand, and fight this battle to the end.
We must make this gun-grab expensive and politically painful for the enemies of freedom. If we do, they'll flinch ... and LOSE.
By mobilizing hundreds of thousands of grassroots gun owners across the country, the National Association for Gun Rights can put anti-gun politicians on the hot seat.
Are you opposed to national gun registration?
Are you opposed to a written examination to buy a gun?
Are you opposed to a new $25 gun tax?
Are you opposed to a total ban on private firearm sales?
If you said "Yes" to these questions, click below to fill out a special survey the National Association for Gun Rights has prepared for you.
http://www.nagr.org/hr45survey2.aspx?pid=w1
Your survey will put you squarely on the record AGAINST Barack Obama's gun control package.
Stopping un-Constitutional gun control bills like H.R. 45 may be NAGR's top priority, but they need your help.
The truth is, H.R. 45 is just the tip of the iceberg.
Sarah Brady and her cohorts in Congress now have the support of a willing White House and won't stop until they've reached their ultimate goal: A virtual ban on private, individual firearm ownership.
That is why NAGR simply must hear from you immediately.
Please take a moment to fill out NAGR's H.R. 45 survey, and, if at all possible, send a contribution to help the National Association for Gun Rights fight H.R. 45 and Sarah Brady's gun control wish list. The $25 you would spend on the new gun tax will help stop it altogether.
I know this is a lot to ask, but inaction could very well lead to defeat and the loss of our right to keep and bear arms.
It's critical we do all we can.
Thank you in advance for contributing your time and money towards defending our Second Amendment rights.
For Freedom and Liberty,
Paul Broun
U.S. Congressman (R-GA)
National Association for Gun Rights
P.S. The anti-gun extremists who helped put Obama in power are itching for pay-back -- and here it comes.
H.R. 45 is the most sweeping gun control proposal ever offered in America. And under this administration, it might just pass -- so please act today!
Please join NAGR in the fight to stop this gun grab by clicking below to fill out your special H.R. 45 survey. And, send this email to everyone you know who supports the 2nd Amendment. Our Freedom depends on it.
