RE: im done riding for a while ...

you = brilliant
yeah i know. It was a stupid, childish mistake on my part. I deserved it, im just lucky nothing was broken. i've been down that road before, and it's not fun at all!Camo; sometimes you can be more of a man, backing out of a fight, under certain circumstances. And learning from you're mistakes is part of life. At least you didn't break both you're hands, and wake up behind bars, as I did about 20 years ago. All I have to show from the experience is two floating knuckles. And Willie; cut the kid some slack. I'm sure you have some horror stories, from you're younger days. What about that torrid affair with a certain neighbors sheep, many years ago? Did she keep the baby? BAAAAAAAMA Baby.

RE: Rolled the ATV

Went riding at the Nebraska National Forest recently and came close to having a head on accident. Came around a corner and had another atv coming towards me. Both of us took evasive action. I ended up catching my front wheels on the edge of the trail and flipped my atv. From all indications the only thing I can see that got damaged was the plastic above the front left wheel, and the plastic on the tank shifted about 1/8 of an inch. I am hoping I did not bend the frame and it is only the plastic that shifted.
The Kodiak got its first boo boo and it took five years to do it.Glad to hear you are alright. Plastic and steel are easier to fix than flesh and bone.

RE: 2005 Yamaha Grizzly 660 (SWAY BAR)

Thanks for all of your helpAlso check out Grizzly Central, another forum dedicated to Grizzly riders. I've seen a few guys do this, but mostly Arctic Cat owners, for some reason. I personally like the stability the sway bar adds, for cornering. I've rode some other Yamaha's, namely a Kodiak 450 without a sway bar, and did not like the outside lean taking corners. I've done a fair share of rock climbing, with my 05 Grizz, and never found a need to remove the sway bar. But now I might give it a try, to see if there is any difference.

RE: 2003 chevy 2500HD

The only thing possible I see is that they group all diesel trucks together in you're state. Are they registered commercial or what.We have diesel cars here that get low registration and insurance rates, because of economy.
no, they don't group them all in one. It's just because im a 20 yr old male... which to me is sexist, and age discrimination. I thought both those were illegal?Yes, maybe that explains the high rate. My two daughters paid extremely high rates, until they turned 25. We got around it by registering and insuring their vehicles(trucks) with a different address, other than their own. Yes Daddy's little girls drive trucks. My oldest Nicole,27, drives a 2000 Dodge Durango RT. And my younger daughter Sarah, 25, has a 2005 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. Guess who paid for them?

RE: Recession over?

According to POTUS the recession is over. So,go out and buy that new car or truck, don't worry about paying for it,the "Messiah" says you will have prosperity in the next years to come. Bugs Bunny Cool-aid..:BI'm not buying into it. Last weekend I just stashed some gold and a few other survival amenities. Call me crazy; but it's a security, if things crash. Food stocks for about a year, if needed. This guy is setting the country up for a race war. Watch and see. He snuck new hate crime bills, into law on the back of another agenda. You get a bad feeling of how things are falling into place.

RE: NH_KINGQUAD no more

Well I havent posted here in quite a while but wanted to vent a bit to you guys just for the sake of closure. I'm just another victim of the recession of '09 I guess. The going got tough and my wife got going. Now suddenly I'm a single Dad of two so toys are not on the list of what I am able to pay for. The end result is my quad got reposessed. NH_KINGQUAD rest in peace.Dave that totally sux. You are truthfully one of the best persons I have met, in a number of years. I can't compete, and buy you a new quad, but I offer my service as a friend. I truly wish the best for you, and hope to see you soon, at the trails. We are being hit hard also, but if you need anything, we will try to help. You're friend John.
Thanks John, I'll be ok. No place to go but up when you hit bottom right?Be strong Dave, for you're two sons sake. Through the trials and tribulations, foster strength of character. Isn't that a Jewish proverb?I don't know but best of luck with everything. And Willie; I'm sure you're a great guy; and with out a doubt, a legend in you're own mind.

RE: GM

I have been in the lite trucking business for 30 yrs,and Ford has given me the best all a round service.I've use Chevy, GMC,Dodge, and none would carry the load like the Fords....I could have been lucky, and have seen Chevy work for others, but they diid take the tough use(always over loaded) like the Fords. When you get into serious trucking, there's really only two contenders. Macks for moving dirt, and Pete's, for moving freight. Anything else is a car with a truck-like appearance.
I agree, up until now all you guys have been talking about are pickups. Trucks move freight/dirt. I would have to throw Kenworth into the "serious" trucks. Nice pic's Prince. That KW is a tough old girl. I particularly like the one, with the jugs(pistons) filled with oil. Explain to the boys, why you keep them soaking in oil like that. A construction company shop, I worked at used a brand new parts washer, just for that purpose. We also had a walk-in freezer to chill down parts, in close tolerance situations. And in some situations, used dry ice, on master links, for dozer tracks, etc.

RE: New family member, but an old friend

Congrats CC, i would toss some nice tires and rims on it to give it that sparkly look.;) (and maybe a 2" lift, if it was mine)
You gonna yank ole NH off the couch for a ride?
If it were my only ride, maybe, but its not, so its staying bone stock to preserve the handling. I still have the KQ700 with the XTRs if I wanna play in the muck. Way I figure, I have a very sweet general trail machine, and an accomplished mudder to choose from. I threw 27s on the first Rinny. It certainly increased 4X4 capabilities, but is destroyed the handling/agility and definitely robbed some power. The overall ride suffered enough, I wish I had never done it. Basically, the point in choosing the Rincon for a second ride was to have a comfy SUV, as well as a Humvee sitting in the garage.
As for ole NH, he'll probably ride the Rincon. It'll keep his old bones out of the chiropractor's office.
Taking her out for a maiden voyage in the morning. Riding with some more old bones straddling a Rancher 350 4WD. Shouldn't be too hard to keep up lol.
i wanna go!!! If you are looking for a tire that is light and also strong take a look at the Maxxis 4 speeds I have them on my 08 Renagade. Didn't you're Renagade come stock with ITP holeshot ATR'S? I can't believe you could have worn then out already. I thought you just got that Renagade recently? I've had mine for almost two years, and love them. Not one flat(except for rolling one off the rim) and the wear is exceptional. Chris they would also be a good choice for you're Rincon. Their only slightly heavier than stock, but the overall benefits, are well worth it.

My 7.3 just had 2000+ miles put on it over the weekend and crossed 100,000 miles...Im so proud.
285,000+ on my 2002. You got a ways to go...lol. I'd still haul trailers cross country with it in a heartbeat. Still strong as an ox and constant as the North Star. Just had to change the ICM modual , on my 02 work truck. Had to remove left inner fender well to get at it. $600 bucks to replace. Electronics, made in Brazil something to be proud of Ford.http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z75/GreyGrizz62/FordSign.jpg height=300 width=400

i finished 3rd in intermediate and 3rd in pro-am, but i didnt get the advancement points to go pro yet, in the last 4 races i went from 6th in each class to 3rd haha, not bad for missing a round in the process eh lol.Nice work Blaster, keep at it and you will turn pro before you know it. Don't let Willie rain on you're parade. The only competitive racing he does these days is with electric wheelchairs at the V.A. He's featured in the big event this weekend;"The Depends 200".

Nice looking machine. Good luck with it. I'm considering a Rincon, if and when I can afford it. My old bones, need an smoother ride. You were smart to keep the KQ. Did they even make you an offer on it? I'll also keep my Grizzly for the wet and wild.

DUAL PIPES! That means two!One on each side...I also had a chip installed for the pipes, thats what my mechanic said I needed...I am not telling it all...Willie, maybe a simpler question to ask you're mechanic, would be: does it have dual catalytic converters? If so, it's a true duel exhaust. If not, it's a single to the converter, then split into two. I looked into a "true" duel system for my hemi. A Borla,(I love their systems) true duel, is about $2800 bucks installed.A one into two(single converter) system is about half of that. And Willie; my mostly stock hemi, will eat you're doctored up 5.4 for lunch any day of the week. It eat's Fords for lunch and craps out Chevy's.
Along with Chevy's it also craps out its own tranny! Haha, just kidding I love the new dodge's but ford is in my blood
250exrider=my spokesperson I personally, have had pretty outstanding luck with the Dodge trannys. 89 D-350 diesel, trans rebuild at 138,000 miles. 92 D-250 diesel, trans rebuild at 142,000 miles. Both work trucks. 2000 Durango 5.9 RT, piped, cold air induction and chipped, no major problems. My daughter now drives it, with almost 100,000 miles on it. My 03 SLT Hemi Ram: no trans problems, 92,000 miles on it. However I did lose the rear end at 60,000 miles. I've owned all three American truck brands, and they all have high and low points. The most troublesome truck I ever owned, was a 86 F-350 4X4 dually, with the big 460 motor. Strong heavy hauling truck, but electrical problems almost on a daily basis. I spent a small fortune on control modules, with that truck.

Guys: Settle down, I have a 4X4 truck, not a 'Vette or fast auto, I'm sure a Hemi Charger would beat me,but not a Hemi truck! Now you must remember, I have run some pretty fast stuff in my time!I'm sure you wouldn't have any trouble with this Dodge either: >>LINK<<

Because they are the only 150's that have beat me. A V-8 Ford Explorer challenged me once, and it was no contest, annihilated him. The regular 5.4 in the 150's is only about 275 hp, my Dodge was 345 stock. I know the newer one's hp #'s are up slightly, but not much. It's still a respectable engine, but it's not a Hemi. B.T.W., my work truck is an 02 F-350 single axle utility body, with the 7.3 Powerstroke. It's an animal as far as a work truck, for hauling and towing. I'll race ya with that too; but we both have to hook up 12,000lb trailers first.
